Useful information: how to get to Elba Island

The island of Elba can be reached by boat from Piombino Marittima, where four navy companies (Toremar, Moby Lines, Blue Navy and Corsica Ferries) have comfortable ferries that run multi-day trips. With only one hour of navigation (40 minutes with Corsica Ferries) they cover the approximately 10 kilometers separating the island from the mainzones, reaching the ports of Portoferraio (the mainone), Rio Marina and Cavo.
In alternative there is a quick hydrofoil connection, for only passenger lift, which in only 35 minutes for reaches Portoferraio.

By car:
From the North:
From Milan A1 motorway, take Parma Ovest on the A15 to reach the A12 Genova-Livorno motorway, exit at Rosignano, continue on the S.S. Aurelia to Venturina-Elba Island and hence to Piombino Marittima.
From Northeast:
Highway A1 Bologna-Florence-Pisa-Livorno: exit at Rosignano, continue on the S.S. Aurelia to Venturina-Elba Island and hence to Piombino Marittima.
Alternatively, S.G.C. Florence-Pisa-Livorno: exit Florence Scandicci and follow the S.S. Until Collesalvetti, take the motorway to Rosignano Marittimo, take the freeway to Venturina-Elba Island and from there to Piombino Marittima.
Yes South:
Highway A12 Roma-Grosseto: S.S. Aurelia exit Venturina-Elba Island, continue for Piombino Marittima.

By plane:
The island of Elba is connected to the continent by various flights during the summer period carried out by Italian and foreign companies. The connected airports are Milan, Zurich, Berne, Friedrichschafen, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Vienna, Berlin.
The airport is located in La Pila, approx. 13 km from our diving.

On the train:
The arrival point for ferry transfer is that of Piombino Marittima (see www.ferroviedellostato.it for train timetables).
